Zimbabwe became a test playing nation after the end of the 2nd ICC Cricket World Cup. The team did not play the first two tournaments. Became 1 of the contenders of the trophy only in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Zimbabwe has not won the trophy even once till now. In fact, It has not even gone beyond the Super Six stage.
